good Friday, blessed Lord Jesus

April 2, 2010

I’m listening to my lovely carmen suite now. intermezzo now, peaceful music for a beautiful relaxing day. Im lazing at home :)

* thank you Lord for this weekend, for all that You’ve sacrificed for us. thank you so much. *

- (only) 3 cups of bubble tea since sunday. good control going.

- push and paddle are growing! their eyes will probably open soon…

- HOT CROSS BUNS YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH. america didn’t hav ehot cross buns so it’s been awhile since I had them.as you know, I really really love bread. too much. too much carbs.

- officially jobless!! in a way I’m really relieved, in a way not. cus I need the money, and I need something meaningful to do with my life

- TWO WEEKS till africa!! yippee. can’t wait to go on the safari. I ordered a wide angle lens online specially for that, hope it arrives in the mail in time or I might as well just go shoot myself

- must remind myself to drink milk today. didn’t get to drink some before heading out to church service this morning. calcium needed!!

- haven’t exercised for the past 2 days! my arteries and heart an whatever feel more clogged up than ever… the wet weather is a real dampener for an active lifestyle. it just makes me (and probably most other people) wanna cuddle up in bed and SLEEP.. and eat

- I love joshua bell. gershwin fantasy and  fantasy for violin and orchestra from the album “ladies in lavender”. coincidentally, mao asada once skated to this music. it’s so moving!!

oh that glorious Easter morn… :) 6am dawn service! I can’t wait. it’s been 4 years.

whoa

October 21, 2009

fare thee well wednesday and ye 35 (90) degree weather! it was sooo hot I had to walk to mcdonalds after school to buy myself a mcflurry!! not sure if I was happy or sad or whatever, but I could go out in tanks and shorts and flipflops… strange that I felt happy doing that seeing as to how I will have ample opportunity for that in SINGAPORE. which will be in like, a month. omg exactly a month.

fare thee well wednesday and ye waking hours of work! I got home, devoured my mcflurry in front of my computer, and consequently got completely distracted… the wonders of sugar and glucose in your blood… my heart started pumping, my blood rushed through my veins as I bobbed to “hockey music” on my iTunes. so I surfed the net for hockey gear and bought stuff for inline hockey. inline skates, inline pants, tape, wadeva -_- you get the idea. I spent $200 plus exorbitant shipping fees (to outside of the US!!). my good awesome fishing graciousness this obsession with hockey has got to sTOP.

1 more day to go and my world will be 7/8 on its way to change, 2 more days to go and my much loved much missed bro who is 4″ taller and 10lbs lighter than me will be arriving in sydney, stick style.

wokay NEED to write my final final paper now.. I love you D&HD but I just don’t think I’ll be seeing you anymore. so lets just get this thing over and done with.

orange coloured sky

September 23, 2009

“I was walking along minding my business, when out of an orange colored sky, flash, bam, alakazam,…”

sydney’s experiencing a dust storm. looks like the winds brought it in from the central and south overnight. woke up this morning to see beams of orange light streaming into my room through the blinds. and when I looked out, behold I saw an ORANGE coloured sky. GO ILLINI! (did we beat the buckeyes?)

Dust turns Syd red – smh.com.au

to think that earlier this year I just studied about dust storms and sandstorms in geog103. who would have thought that I should eventually experience a dust storm in the CITY.

the storm has arrived

September 22, 2009

the sydney morning herald said to expect gale force winds tonight and tomorrow plus a storm – making its way up from adelaide. and it is here indeed. it’s at times like these when I enjoy being in my room feeling all nice and snug. and guilty.. for I can only pray for the homeless that they find some shelter.

it sucks that I’ll have to fight the 100km/h wind and rain on my way to class tomorrow. it’s NOT the first time this has happened to me. I got blown over once in my first year!! but I guess… now that I’m fatter my feet will probably stay on the ground. and thank God for my gorgeous rain boots woohoo

GAMBARIMASU!

May 7, 2008

unproductive!!!!!! I haven’t done anything since reaching home! >.<

today was sucha nice day though! our 9am social psych lab got disrupted because the matthews building had an evacuation! well ha ha, there was no way I was gonna walk down 9 storeys so I took the lift with a couple of mates. HA HA! and then we had the rest of our class activity held on the library lawn… the weather was perfect! nice warm sun with the coolness in the air :) Praise God for such a beautiful day!

today’s lab class was one of those few moments when I was reminded that I AM in australia and however much I think it sucks, there are still some beautiful days and lovely times begging to be appreciated. and so I did and I will…

I took some pictures of little wiggles today in preparation of selling him :’( but I haven’t got time to upload them pics now!
