this morning I randomly opened my special memories treasure chest. amongst the many precious things, I found an envelope from Peixian- it contained a letter from her dated 6 years back, my flying cert from the yfc, and a brochure from the rsaf. so I had a look through it.
I am currently nursing a far-fetched dream of flying f14s and whatnot, cept that I would probably not even make it past the medical exams this time round. but if I am ever gonna pursue this flying dream, I don’t have very much time left to make up my mind or even try for it. it really does take a lot to fly and get your wings. so you can imagine that I have much respect for military pilots. and well, commercial pilots too of course.
my friend and I have been spending our days in the office drawing up retirement plans for a farmhouse (which she would design, visual comm girl) that functions on green energy with vast land for cornfields and a runway. assuming of course, that I would own one of those classic biplanes and a license by then :D
I guess the next best thing for now would be to leave this longing for the sky to my fantasies. and thus, I shall leave you with this-
When once you have tasted flight,
you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward,
for there you have been,
and there you will always long to return.

Ps. big Wiley run tomorrow. I hope to run 60 flat or less… :S
