The winds of change are in the air…

May 6, 2011

I can smell it.

The past week or so has had me living in a perpetual state of ponderance. And as things gradually tone down in observance of reflection and preparation for the big day, so I too begin to draw to a close the arguments of my mental essay, summing up all I have seen, heard and read in one earnest concluding paragraph.

Yes, I think I have -finally- made up my mind.

Come tomorrow I will head to the polls with this decision in hand.

Come tomorrow there will be no victor but Him alone.

Come tomorrow, a new dawn awaits.

9 more days till the great return

Human nature: we stay with what we know and think to be safe;

But how will you ever know what awaits on the other side if you never cross over?

Perhaps it’s a matter of whether or not you’re willing to take the step of faith for what you believe in.

Who, what do YOU believe in?

If you already know, and you have made your choice, then good for you, I applaud you. I just hope that you, in deciding, have carefully considered both ends of the spectrum.

I should have visited Wilberforce and Pitt while at Westminster

May 2, 2011

don’t forget that every parliament session is a DEBATE; a debate requires two houses with opposing stands.

yet, I would like to urge the plebeian crowd: mind over heart. judge, just as you would a debate.

I never thought I would take my vote so seriously, simply because I never imagined my one vote could make a difference… whether toward the outcome of the election or toward my conscience. this is the most I can do for my country for now.

I’m not going to follow the crowd, I’m gonna listen and judge for myself.

et tu, brute?
