I’m waiting to watch the replay of Game 6!! 20 more minutes!
so I succumbed to temptation and secretly kept myself updated with the game while at work today. had to keep refreshing the page every few minutes… imagine the anticipation with which I waited while the page and the latest game update loaded. and the horror when I saw that 3rd flyers goal, and the game having to roll into OT.
BUT!!! thanks to Patrick Kane!!!!! WOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. so now I know. and as I sat quietly at my desk, booking in articles, I secretly wanted to cry tears of joy. but I couldn’t. and neither could I stand up and scream madly. so tragic. so I simply sat there, and in my mind I celebrated with the rest of the hawks fans on the other side of the world. all of whom were probably screaming and shouting wildly, shooting champagne while the hawks themselves drank champagne outta the stanley cup.
nevertheless, it was an amazing day. for me. for the hawks. for all their fans. for chicago.
now I await the action to unfold on screen. I shall pretend that I’m watching it live.
YEAH HAWKS!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE YOU GUYS!

first day of work was an infomation overload. but no sweat, I’m coollll. I love the whole work-life balance thing they’ve got going.
on to other very exciting news… I was completely disciplined and stayed off mobile web, and the internet until now! that’s because I waited ever so patiently for the replay of this morning’s game (which I missed live, cus I had to go to work). and my sweeeeeet patience paid off. HAWKS GOT THEIR REVENGE ON THE FLYERS HAAAAAAAAAAA 3 GOAL DEFICIT :)
it was as good as watching the game live. so I’m not gonna fret about not being able to watch the next, and possibly last game live. just gotta stay away from any potential news updates sources. only downside to it is that I know I am reacting and celebrating on my own and not with the hundreds of thousands of fans watching it live.. 12 hours earlier.
OH WELL. AHHHHHHHHHH I’m so excited and happy. and yet I know I’ve gotta keep my mind focussed on everything going on at work and training. or else I’ll be screwed.
imho toews is the best offensive player even if he hasn’t been scoring many assists nor any goals lately. I’m really hoping he can score big the next game so that danny briere doesn’t beat him to the prize! also, the more I watch, the more I love kane! his stick handling is UBER AMAZING. and he keeps his (quick) feet moving nonstop. and gosh help me, I like marian hossa too even though he played for the red wings (boo) last year. well he’s now crossed over from the dark side so I guess its okay. HAHA
HAIYARRRR I LVOE ALL OF THEMMMMM.NIEMI SEABROOKVERSTEEEEEG AND I SHAN’T LIST THE WHOLE ROSTER SO WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO
GO HAWKS. WIN IT!
crazy post. I’m running a high fever. a high hockey fever.
edit: addressed to lil friend- about the hamster post! hahaa. and youk now what?? one of my young hammies DID get impregnated by mango and gave birth just 3 days after lolly did. but by the time I saw them the babies were dead. a real pathetic sight. as if they were just trampled over and left there (not even eaten by paddle). and yes, lolly ate up her babies too. so no hammy babies left. :(

tonite I got really annoyed and OCD with cleaniness, and I had a sudden bout of inspiration to clean up the entire place. so I did. I just got so sick of living in a pig sty, so I pulled out the vacuum cleaner and then the mop. now I’m so shagged but at least my house is sparkly and clean!!. ah, the cons of living alone.
somehow in all thos ecountries that I’ve lived in, there was never the problem of lizards (OMG YUCKK) or ants. the most we had were the occassional roach or so. I just don’t know why singapore or perhaps, singapore’s climate attracts all the yucky creatures. and over here, its IMPOSSIBLE to have your whole house carpeted thanks to the perpetual heat. so it makes the floor ten times more disgusting (or at least the dirt is visible, unlike when the floor is carpeted. lol)
anyway. such OCD days are usually sparked off by one small thing. and that, today, happened when I was doing my daily thing of feeding my hammies. apparently I forgot to seal off the hammy food properly, and there were weavels spilling out from the packet. and to my utmost horror, I noted that my hammies were sorta itching and scratching. so I knew that the current pathetic state of their cages (sawdust unchanged for almost 2 weeks) would not do. and I embarked on the arduous task of cleaning their little homes.
following which I decided that I too, deserved a clean home. and so the cleaning adventure began.
I have a second interview this Friday. Ireally hope that I won’t bomb that. but at any rate, if it’s God’s will, I’ll get it. if not I know that I am bound for other things, perhaps *greater* things. hehe
the hawks finally put an end to the series today. the canucks are staying home and the hawks will play the sharks in the conference finals. woohoo! tomorrow morning, we shall know if the penguins ooooh ahhh crosby will advance to the eastern finals and I really hope they do cus I love crosby. but I love the hawks. so if they end up playing each other in the cup finals I’d be torn. well I’d only be rooting for marc andre fleury and crosby on one side, and the rest will be reserved for toews and his line and the whole hawks team. wonder how that would work out.haha
I love crosby cus I think he’s the ultimate role model, but deep down inside I think I’m secretly hoping that toews will win the most valuable player award. he’s the current leader anyway. I’ve been counting every game. I’ve become quite obsessed.
alritey, time to hit the sack.

I miss my grandfathers very much. they were 2 very great men. and the saddest part is, I only got to know them better after they were gone.
please Lord, let me meet them once again someday.
hawks game tmr morning..time to sleep.

believe it or not I’m currently watching big ten baseball on tv. Illinois vs northwestern at.. ILLINOIS home ground! sigh. just 1 year ago I was sitting in those very bleachers that are now on tv and thousands of miles away. it seems so surreal now
I see the ugly south quad bell tower lol.
OH MAN I MISS ILLINOIS! THE ARC! SHERMAN HALL! THE ICE ARENA! GREEN ST! SUMMER UBC SOFTBALL!
well college days are long ever. I should just face it. but ooh man, seeing illinois on tv at illinois just ya know, connects me with the place despite the physical distance.
by the way, I am able to watch this on tv because I did, eventually, sign up for the hockey channel (ASN here). so I get bigten ball games, mlb, nhl, nba (the only thing I don’t really watch). and yes, it was specially done so that I could watch the stanley cup playoffs hee hee
anyway. GO ILLINI!!!!!!!!!! :)

I’m in the lab! and J-friend (haha) is sitting next to m e trying to figure out the assignment that I just finished up while she went off to class. I feel freeed after finishing it even though I still have a ton of other stuff to do and exams on Thurs and Fri to study for. oh well!!
anyway life has been so happening… my first hockey game was on Saturday and we won! yay! not like I actually contributed much, except for falling a million times… a nd then we went to the corn maze (back to Rantoul!!) at the reindeer ranch. it was so funny haha we got a work out running through the corn.
and last last weekend me and J-friend joined the CU internationals to go to The Great Pumpkin Patch and it was really cute haha so much so that I thought I’d be lame if I went home without a pumpkin so I bought one and that made me even lame-r. and before that we visited an Amish home which was really interesting, it was quite an eye-opener. often read about the Amish-this, Amish-that… finally got to meet Amish people first hand. they are pretty modern, if you’re actually wondering.
and then, I was really heartbroken when Clay Aiken ‘admitted’ to being gay. I don’t believe it… the very same day I got the news we’d just studied about false memories in psyc250 and yes so I believe that whichever therapist that Clay had been seeing for his depression had implanted false memories/beliefs in his mind that he was gay… they just wanted him to match people’s speculations. look at how much the media screwed him up in 5 years. so tragic!
and I have to go to practice in an hour’s time. so exciting. I love being on the ice hmm
I’m kinda sleepy
